[086 - 1996] Speech

I was actually considering a few different ways I could go from the last comic, but they can be easily explored later. I decided to go with one of the old original ‘After Steve’ storyboards found doodled in my GSCE math book. It’s once again been expanded into a double comic, so part two of this will pop up next and you’ll be happy to know I have 50% of it’s artwork already drawn out. I was originally going to try and cram it all onto one page but it wasn’t going to fit well at all.
Emma is certainly besotted with Steve. In the last panel she’s rather happy that he simply said ‘hi’ back while passing, but also that she didn’t freeze up or make a fool of herself in anyway. I was going to use a background that was mostly a hallway wall for Emma to lean against but when I noticed a photo of my old high school’s cafeteria I decided to use that, if just for the rectangle support beam. For amusement, let’s say she was using the edge of it to scratch her own back or something before she saw Steve coming XD
